This image taken by Opportunity, shows a close-up of the rock NASA scientists have named El Capitan. The rock, which is pocked with indentations about a centimetre long, has the distinctive texture familiar to geologists as the sites where crystals of salt minerals form within rocks that sit in briny water, NASA says.
